Ranjayati iti Ragati
"That which tinges the mind with colour is a raga"

Vibration

Nature sings and we dance!
Vibration as the source of creation, life
From fine to gross, through increasing activity, are created 5 elements:
ether, air, fire, water, earth
Every vibration, after its manifestation, becomes merged again in its source

The ocean of the tonic

The tonic, Sa, as unity or peace, Om
When we move out of unity, we come to life! we dance! we experience emotion!
We can feel the "stretch" as we move out of the ocean, each movement, each note, offering a new perspective.
Each note of the scale evokes a different feeling inside of us In combination with other notes, emotions are layered, and blend into new emotions, giving us a full human experience Ebbing and flowing like the waves, feel the tension (emotion) as we move away, and the comfort as we move back to Sa

The science of raag

The ancient rsis studied the effect of music on the human body
As the raag moves to unity and back, so too does our heart

Note Full Name Rasa Chakra Location Sound Colour

Music and healing

The vibrations of nature, and music, remind us of our essential nature.
Primordial sound, faint vibrations connect us to the unified field

"If the body is glued together by sound, then the presence of a disease means the body is out of tune"
"Illness results from disturbances in the patterns of quantum vibrations that hold the body intact" (Deepak Chopra)
